Our client, a rapidly growing business
startup recently featured on page one of the Wall Street Journal, NBC
Nightly News, and elsewhere is seeking PHP developers dedicated to their
craft, capable of writing code they are proud of, and who can hit the
ground running, working both independently and as part of a virtual
team.
The right candidate will be capable of writing elegant, fast PHP to a high standard in a timely and scalable way that aggressively enhances the code base of our client’s products.
Though you have the opportunity to work remotely (no relocation is necessary), you will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launch.
Compensation is DOE. Six-figure plus opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Become part of a cohesive team dedicated to building a rapidly growing business
* Write clean, well designed code
* Produce clean documentation
* Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
* Contribute during all phases of the product life cycle
* Follow industry best practices
* Develop new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
Requirements
* 3-5 years of software development experience in PHP
* Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.
* Familiarity with Laravel framework, Elasticsearch, and cache technologies is a very big plus.
* Exceptional knowledge of relational databases including MySQL, version control tools and of developing web services
* Using common third-party APIs to e-commerce sites (PayPal, Amazon, Ebay, etc)
* Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop bold new ideas
* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent work experience and credentials is desired.
