You will join a research team investigating the health benefits of consuming wholegrain wheat, funded by Cereal Partners Worldwide. Working alongside a research technician you will coordinate a food-based dietary intervention study with healthy volunteers. This will involve volunteer recruitment, organising visits to the Clinical Research Facility, sample and data collection and laboratory analysis. You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD or equivalent in nutrition or a related science. You should have experience of the assessment of habitual dietary intake and of nutritional status; experimental studies and biochemical assays. The ability to communicate well both orally and in writing is essential. You will be based at Newcastle University but will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of foods to volunteers; therefore a full, clean driving license is essential as is the willingness to be flexible in relation to working hours.
