About the Team
The Unix Services group builds and manages servers, storage environments, application and services that support the Akamai corporate computing environment and engineering groups.
Responsibilities
Provide on-going administration and Tier2/3 support of UNIX (Solaris) and Linux systems.
Provide on-going administration and Tier2/3 support of Enterprise Storage environments.
Use our system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents.
Troubleshoot storage environment problems (connectivity, performance, capacity).
Provision SAN and Network attached storage.
Monitor replication status of storage environments.
Provide 24 x 7 x 365 support on a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
6+ years overall IT experience
5+ years of experience in an Operations/Unix Systems Administrator role.
4+ years supporting production/mission critical systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Experience with large databases and clustering technologies.
Note: Do not pay any employer as real employer do not demand it.
